A COVID Ribbon Cutting Celebration

D&D is extremely excited to turn over the new Automotive and Collision Repair (ACR) Building at the Wayne Community College campus here in town. It was truly a pleasure working with WCC and the NC State Construction Office on their first Design-Build project together. This 34,000 square foot building now houses all ACR program students under one roof, allowing for substantial growth in enrollment. Previously, these students were spread out between four other buildings on campus. The new state-of-the-art facility was designed with classrooms, bays, work rooms, offices, meeting and collaboration spaces, and a large lobby with a showroom feel – all meeting the standards expected by accrediting partner automotive manufacturers. The project was completed on-time and ready for the new students this fall. Due to COVID restrictions, the ribbon cutting ceremony looked different than usual, but was a wonderful celebration of an excellent addition to this community gem!
