About

Our Company

Daniels and Daniels Construction Company is a North Carolina-based firm with over 60 years of experience delivering a wide range of projects for public and private clients across the Carolinas.

We are conservative in how we operate our business and handle our clients’ projects. Daniels and Daniels embodies an “ownership mentality” with every project, which has given us longevity in a volatile industry.

This perspective enables us to consistently and successfully serve our customers as we relentlessly focus on three overarching outcomes:

  • Quality Workmanship

  • On-time Project Delivery

  • Adherence to Budget

Our Core Values

Our Mission

We are committed to creating an environment that ensures the success of our company through the success of our employees.

Our Vision

To be a benchmark firm for the construction industry.

Quality

From initial estimates to project completion and every step in between, Daniels and Daniels provides its customers and employees with the highest quality services. Throughout our over 60 years of service, we have done more than construct buildings throughout the Carolinas—we have built a strong reputation for excellence.

Exceptional quality, timely completion, and adherence to budget are critical elements that define a successful construction project. Daniels and Daniels utilizes our Quality Control Program (QCP) in order to achieve these elements. Our firm applies our QCP to every project to accomplish three key goals:

  • The highest level of quality is maintained from the project’s inception.

  • Thorough documentation of quality via frequent inspections and acceptance testing.

  • Minimized rework to save time and money throughout the project’s duration.

Sustainability

When the very elements of your work include stone, wood, clay, rock, and sand, we must recognize and understand the long-lasting impact we have on the landscape for future generations. At Daniels and Daniels, we are committed to incorporating sustainable building practices into every project we undertake.

This commitment is why Daniels and Daniels is a proud LEED builder. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to revolutionize how we approach the spaces where we live, work, and learn. As an internationally recognized mark of excellence, LEED provides a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building solutions across design, construction, operations, and maintenance.

Our History

The groundwork for Daniels and Daniels Construction Company was built on the combined knowledge and experience of two brothers.

James N. Daniels Sr.
James N. Daniels Sr.
Benjamin W. Daniels, Jr.
Benjamin W. Daniels, Jr.

In 1962, James Daniels and his brother, Benjamin, formed a general contractor partnership in Goldsboro, NC. Their vision was to create a construction company with strong values and a commitment to excellence.

1962
1970's

In its early years, Daniels and Daniels concentrated primarily on residential construction, building quality homes in the Wayne County area. During the early 1970s, its focus began to shift towards the commercial market, maintaining the same emphasis on quality and attention to detail that had become its hallmark.

In 1984, Benjamin W. Daniels, Jr. retired, and the second generation of brothers, James N. Daniels, Jr. and Charles J. Daniels joined the organization. The company was incorporated and continued to expand its work in the commercial market with an unlimited general contractor’s license. Under the mentorship of their father, James N. Daniels, Sr., the brothers inherited the core values of quality and sound business ethics that continue to drive the company’s success. James N. Daniels, Sr. retired in 1992, entrusting the management of the company to his sons.

1984 - 1992
2024

Today, Daniels and Daniels maintains its legacy as it continues to build upon its solid reputation for quality workmanship delivered on time and within budget.
