The project consists of a new facility housing offices and vehicle bays for Sampson County’s Emergency
Medical Services, Emergency Management Department, Fire Marshal, and E-911 call receiving. The building is 36,567 square feet of construction type VB, sprinklered, Non-Separated Mixed-Use Occupancies with Assembly (A-3, most restrictive) Business (B), Storage (S-1), Storage (S-2) and Residential (R-3) occupancies.
Building construction is in three distinct sections, the Main Building is metal stud bearing walls with
combinations of brick veneer and metal siding and the other (the 911 Building and the EMS Wing) sections are reinforced masonry bearing walls with exterior finish combinations of brick veneer and metal siding. The entire facility has various thicknesses of concrete slab on grade. Interior walls will be metal stud walls with some interior masonry partitions. The structural framing system in the Main Building consists of steel columns and beams with open-web steel roof trusses with metal roof deck, R-25 polyisocyanurate roof insulation covered by PVC single –ply roof membrane system. The roofs at the 911
Building and the EMS Wing will be steel trusses with structural metal deck with nail-base insulation, R-
25 polyisocyanurate roof insulation covered by PVC single –ply roof membrane system. and standing seam metal roof. The project includes offices, training and conference rooms, private bedrooms, kitchen
and dining, laundry, toilets and showers, dayroom, decontamination rooms, various storage rooms, covered ambulance restocking carport, parking lot and sidewalks.

Alternate #1: Provide CPT-2 in lieu of CPT-1 in Room 058

Alternate #2: Add air scrubbers in the Apparatus Rooms.

Alternate #3: Add LSHV fans in the Apparatus Rooms.

Alternate #4: Add metal canopy over Patio 133.

Alternate #5: Add asphalt paving for the Secondary Access Road.

Alternate #6: Provide high-build urethane floor coating in Vehicle Bays

Alternate #7: Add acoustical sprayed insulation in Apparatus Rooms

Alternate #8: Provide LV-4 in lieu of CPT-1 in Main Building Corridors

Alternate #9: Add Acoustical Panel System in E.O.C. / Multi-Purpose Room 058.
