1. Construction of a new 41,601 GSF community center, (2) Renovation of and addition to a 2,471 GSF existing historic carousel shelter, (3) Construction of a new playground, (4) Construction of a new outdoor plaza with splash pad, (5) Miscellaneous construction and demolition of various site elements and utilities (including asbestos abatement within the existing community center prior to demolition), and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
2. Excavation of suitable soils from second City of Raleigh site including temporary regrading and temporary stabilization of fill site.
3. Coordination with the work of the Public Art Contractor for the project including:
a. The General Contractor is responsible for labor and materials for installation of the mounting brackets for an art sunshade system to be fabricated and installed by the Public Art Contractor and for coordinating access to the construction site for the installation of the sunshades.
b. The Base Bid includes clear insulated glass for storefront frame SF6 (9/A604). The General Contractor may be responsible for labor for the installation of @400sf (9 total IGU units) of decorative insulated glass units provided by Public Art Contractor into storefront frame SF6 in lieu of the standard clear IGU units that are included in the Base Bid. This scope is described in Unit Price G- 3A and G-3B.

4. Coordination with the work of the Playground Equipment Contractor for the project including:
a. The General Contractor is responsible for establishing the compacted subgrade for the aggregate stone base and play surface by others. The General Contractor is responsible for labor and materials associated with the installation of 300 linear feet (LF) of 4” diameter perforated pipe wrapped in non-woven geotextile filter fabric and connection of this pipe into the storm drainage system. The General Contractor is responsible for labor and materials for installation of the 6” wide x 1’-0” flush concrete band as per contract documents.
b. The General Contractor is responsible for coordinating the installation of the play equipment, play surface and aggregate stone base with Playground Equipment Contractor. The Playground Equipment Contractor is responsible for the materials and installation of the play equipment, play surface, footings and aggregate stone base.
